The activity of what is presently Tekni-Plex Europe NV started in Belgium in 1968 under the name Action Plastic & Rubber Co.
In the late seventies, the name was changed to Action Technology Belgium NV and the company moved to its present premises at the Industrielaan in Erembodegem (Aalst).
In 1982, Action Technology Belgium NV acquired Gommaform a rubber producing company in Milano, Italy. This company is presently known as Action Technology Italia SpA.
In 1998, the US parent company was acquired by Tekni-Plex Inc with headquarters in Somerville, New Jersey. Subsequently the name of the company in Belgium was changed to Tekni-Plex Europe NV. This company operates with multiple divisions:
Action Technlogy Belgium, Tekni-Films Europe, Tri-Seal and Natvar.
Tekni-plex Europe NV also has two subsidiaries: Action Technology Italia SpA and Colorite Europe Ltd. Colorite Europe is a medical PVC compounding company located in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
