As a basic material we use PET or polyethyleneterephthalate-polymer, famous in the 50s of the last century, as a textile- polyether. High strength, high-temperature and deterioration stability of it made a successful alternative to the natural fibers.
In due time PET (polyethyleneterephthalate) became an epoch-making invention in packaging and now people are used to accessible and ecofriendly plastic bottles and jars.
application characteristics:
LIGHTNESS: in comparison with 150grams of glass tank - half-liter PET-tank weights around 27-36 grams. Besides for the final customer comfort it gives saving till 30% on handling operations.
PLASTICUTY: PET-package does not break and does not split, what make it as an irreplaceable for a variety of products (for example, cosmetics for bath), and also ensures manufacturers from troubles with customer claims.
TRANSPARENTNESS AND VARIATIONS WITH COLORING: PET-package is transparent and allows to estimate the product` s trade dress. Using high-technology trade dress of PET-package is not dissimilar in aspect to glass.
The possibility of package coloring in different color tones has esthetic and practical sides. In particular, it ensures the content from visible light and ultraviolet light, but at the same time there is a possibility to add special ultraviolet-light filter.
ENVIRONMENTAL STABILITY: PET-packaging is frigostabil and keeps plasticity even after long term effect on it. PET is resistant to acidic and alkaline medium and it gives possibility to pack not only such middle aggressive products as mayonnaise sauce, but acetic acid solution also. PET barrier characteristics are lower than glass barrier characteristics, and much higher than so popular polypropylene barrier characteristics.
ecological properties: PET-packaging is easily exposed to secondary treatment. Even if all power consumptions connected with secondary treatment are taken, plastic surpass glass in ecological properties, in spite of wide-spread mistake in this connection.
