Bluhm Systeme wins the Innovation Price 2008 of the Intiative Mittelstand in the category identification technique.
The innovatie continuous faserlaser e-SolarMark from Bluhm Systeme sets new standards in coding from foils, e.g. packages from chocolate bars known from the sweets industry. Also thin and sensitive foils can be coded with this laser in a good readable quality. And that without damaging the foil as it happens with normal lasers because the e-SolarMark works with a different laser source and with a different laser control (continuous wave instead of pulse).
Because of the compactness the system can be integrated in a production process without problems. The coding can be done during the product stop and also if the product is moving. The e-SolarMark CFL has got a very simple control panel. Optional an alpha-numeric keyboard or a touchpad is available. And so the variable data like real-time, current date, continuous numbering and expiration date can be set fast und uncomplicated.
The marking area depending on the laser-head is between 70x70mm, 100x100mm or 160x160mm. The laser has got a marking-function without using an external pc or a terminal an all that with an absolutely save LINUX operating system. 100% data redundancy is guaranteed through a CFII Card on which the operating system and all texts with adjustments are saved.
The data is transferred through a RS232 gateway or a network. With the IP-53 guard the e-SolarMark CFL is especially suited for the using in dry and dusty environments. The system has a power of 10W optional 20W. Due to the maintenance-free faserlaser optic and with a durability of over 100.000 hours the e-SolarMark CFL works very cost efficient.
Coding systems for direct marking
Coding systems are used for the direct marking of products and packaging.
The most important advantage of using this type of marking is that a label is not required. Nevertheless, in each marking situation, one must consider which information is to be applied to the product/secondary packaging, how much, when and over which period of time.
Other important factors in choosing the right marking system include whether the materials to be marked are absorbent, requirements concerning label life as well as environmental conditions.
Continuous-inkjet-coders
Reliability and Safety. Continuous-inkjet-coders set themselves apart by their high degree of reliability, long-life, and highest quality. The system’s stainless steel housing permits it to be used in wet, clean production environments, e.g. during the packing and bottling of fresh products, preserves, and drinks. As a result, the strict rules of hygiene in the food processing industry can be easily satisfied.
Piezo-high-resolution-coders
The shape of the chambers is changed when a voltage is applied via piezoelectric crystals or ceramic chambers. As a result, the ink is squeezed through the nozzles. Once the ink drop has left the print head, a vacuum forms for an instant around it. This ensures that ink from the vessel, which is placed somewhat lower down, is sucked into the container, thus refilling the pool.
Thermal-inkjet-coders
In this system thermal inkjet print heads receive signals sent by the control unit. This causes a built-in heating element to heat up rapidly. This brings the ink to the boil and forms an ink bubble. The heat supply is increased until the bubble collapses into itself. The drop is driven through the nozzle onto the print material at high speed.
