LONGFORD Equipment International Limited was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1969. The head office of the Company is located at 41 Lamont Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Company has offices in Belgium and England from where it handles sales and service for all of Europe. Asia is handled directly through Canada. It also transacts a large volume of business through agents and dealers located worldwide, with installations in over 65 countries.
The Company is engaged in the designing, the manufacturing, and the marketing of high-speed automated paper handling and packaging machinery, as well as high-speed machinery for leaflet inserting and other paper dispensing applications. Original machinery was developed for the greeting card industry but resulted in increasing applications to other segments of the graphic arts industry such as collating of high volume paper products and cards including bank-cheques, CD’s, DVD’s, booklets, lottery tickets, recipe cards, and materials used to produce trade catalogues. As a result, the Company caters to a diverse spectrum of industries. In 1988, the Company realized the potential of the plastic card processing industry and developed several systems that are used in the post-process of verification and mailing of credit cards, driver’s licences, and other similar applications.
