Magplastic began its activities in the early 1980s in Geneva, Switzerland, and since then it has become an internationally recognized name in PET packaging production machinery.
In 2002, MAG-PLASTIC MACHINERY SA became a member of the Swiss SIHGroup, incorporating several well-known companies - all of which are active in the automation and packaging industry - providing equipment and services to its worldwide customer base.
Taking on the 20 years of PET experience of Geneva based Magplastic, the new company is aiming to move forward with development, sales, production and service of PET packaging production equipment for its customers located in 85 countries world wide.
With 800 PET systems producing bi-oriented PET containers installed, the name Magplastic® stands for linear stretch blow moulding machines, small and medium output, with a reputation for ease of operation, reliability and outstanding production flexibility.
Since 2002 Magplastic USA is located in Cincinnati, Ohio and in 2003 Magplastic Asia was founded in Pune, India.
Magplastic is represented by approved agents in many countries around the world.
In 2006, Magplastic has entered into a cooperation agreement with SISTEC S.r.l. As a result of this cooperation agreement, the complete machine portfolio of Sistec formerly sold under the brand name “ALKAM” has been integrated into the Magplastic offering. The new, broader linear machine portfolio of Magplastic will fulfil the needs of customers in particular in the emerging segment of the large PET containers up to 26.5 litres and in the mid output production capacity up to 12’000 bph.
