In 1953 Heinz Bähren formed, Bähren OHG, marking the beginning of the firm that would grow to become BAERO GmbH & Co. KG. BAERO‘s world headquarters are in Leichlingen, Germany (near Cologne) where a staff of over 130 people are engaged in advancing BAERO’s lighting technology. Our facilities include offices, a full research laboratory, a new product design center, and a lighting demonstration center capable of simulating over 200 different retail lighting configurations with a capacity of 80 spectators.
In January of 2006, BAERO opened its North American headquarters with a office and warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri, the heartland of America.
BÄRO GmbH & Co. KG engaged in research into the physical possibilities offered by artificial light. The findings of this research are implemented in concrete applications for product lighting and UV-C disinfection systems.
In the field of UV-C based air, water and surface disinfection we have been present on the market since 1996 and we are now one of the leading European suppliers of such equipment. Our customers are food producers, food traders and companies in the ventilation and air conditioning industry.
BÄRO GmbH & Co. KG ist ein erfolgreiches mittelständisches Technologie-Unternehmen, spezialisiert auf Warenbeleuchtung und Lufthygiene, mit Sitz in Leichlingen. In Deutschland sind wir mit 4 Regionalbüros vertreten und haben Tochtergesellschaften in den USA und Frankreich. Weltweit unterstützen uns autorisierte Vertriebspartner in über 40 Ländern. Im Bereich der Lufthygiene sind wir seit 1996 am Markt und zählen heute mit Systemen zur UV-C-Entkeimung für die Lebensmittelindustrie sowie KitTech-Anwendungen zur Fettvernichtung und Plasma-Technik zur Geruchsbeseitigung für Großküchen, Gastronomie und Lebensmittel verarbeitende Industrie zu den führenden europäischen Anbietern.
