ERPA Systeme GmbH was founded in Munich in 1983 by Dr. Volkhard Erlacher. The company is specialised in the development of software solutions for the packaging industry. Since André Koenig restructured ERPA in 1998, the companies' headquaters is based in Goettingen, Germany. In 2001 André Koenig and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Markus Plannerer joined ERPA's management.
ERPA sees the compact size of the company as an advantage in a market where quick demand reaction, flexibility and special knowledge of CAD CAM solutions are required
